Chapter 2.4 – Don’t Fear the Reaper

No intro this time because I really just want to jump into the chapter since I’ve already played so far ahead in game.

To start we have our heir working on his skills. I don’t know if you can see but he’s actually working on Martial Arts and Handiness (via tabcast) here.

The ballet barre has been in this house since the twins were kids but Pep’s only just finding it now. Thankfully she’s not as obsessed with it as Ivan was.

Pep: My husband is trash

That’s not very nice Pep (although I can’t exactly argue with you since I’m still pissed more of his genetics didn’t pass down).

Pep: Just calling it like I see it

Ayden has been meditating so long now that he can zenport. That would be really useful if he was actually going anywhere but so far he’s stuck in the house skilling.

Ayden: Buzz off, I’m trying to concentrate here!

Yes sir! Silly temperamental Sims.

Poor Envy thinks of her board breaker that she can no longer use ‘cause she’s pregnant. I find it kind of silly the types of things Sims aren’t allowed to do whilst pregnant, like for instance the board breaker, but they are allowed to pump iron and sit in a hot tub. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Alyssa is determined to beat us in the baby front. This is her second baby.

Pep: …And then the reaper was covered in flames.

Envy: No shit

Ivan: *Shocked gasp*

This is the first time in a while I’ve seen a scary story being told so it really amused me the different reactions to it. Envy’s just like ‘I’m scarier than that crap’ and Ivan’s all shocked and scared

Ayden finally got his first promotion. It took him maybe 2 or 3 days. This is gonna be a very slow LTW if he keeps up this speed.

This is probably the last time Cat’s collection is gonna be updated since she is getting very old now and probably won’t be with us for much longer. She’s done pretty well for a tiny dog.

Pep: Does he really think I don’t know it’s him?

He’s trying to be romantic, give him a break.

Pep: I’ll take it under advisement.

I guess she took my words to heart.

Is it just me or are they a much cuter couple as elder than they were when they were younger?

These two may as well move in with the amount of time they spend here.

Ayden: Nothing important, mind your own business!

Bump watch day 2 or 3. Hurry up and get here already!

I’m not sure why I’m so excited about this baby, maybe it’s because there hasn’t been kids in the house for a while or maybe because it could be a ghost kid.

Envy: Don’t you know what privacy is?

Not really, no. Why’d you ask?

Envy *sigh* Never-mind

I’m not sure that’s the best activity for someone so close to popping to be doing but I can’t stop you so carry on.

No can do Sweetie, Ayden’s at work so it’ll have to be a home birth.

Envy: Hey, you’re actually not that bad.

Yep, the first baby that pops out is a little ghost girl who we name Cai.

It was a good pregnancy so we got to roll Cai’s traits. So far she sounds a lot like me IRL

Straight after having Cai Envy puts her down to pop out her twin sister, a human girl who we name Clara.

I changed her name multiple times hence the shoddy job of photoshopping the new name in. I just wasn’t expecting Envy to have twins. At least we have a human and a ghost right of the bat.

An extra crib was quickly added to the nursery for the extra addition. All I can remember is both their favourite colours are purple so that was simple enough to customize.

Even after giving birth to TWO babies Envy still somehow finds the willpower to do the dishes.

Straight after which she goes for a well deserved sleep, leaving her newborn twins in the hands of their grandparents. Fingers crossed that goes well.

And how do the founders begin their charge as babysitters? By arguing of course!

I swear, Ivan is getting worse with age. He argues and criticizes everyone now.

Pep: How dare he run out on my in the middle of an argument!

He’s going to work

Pep: That’s no excuse!

Around this time Ayden gets his 2nd promotion. This one didn’t take as long as the last so maybe there is hope.

I zoomed over to see what Ayden was up to and found him heading home on his new motorcycle.

Ayden: I had to have a bike. All the badass’ have them

So what? Does that make you an official badass now?

Ayden: Damn straight

*facepalm*

Back at home with someone who isn’t completely delusional (which is saying something since Pep’s the one that’s Insane). Pep finds one of her new little granddaughters.

To my surprise Pep went and seen to her other granddaughter too *cheers*

As soon as Ayden stepped in the door he rolled a wish to snuggle Clara but so far no wishes for Cai.

I’m pretty sure Peppermint has a favourite. She’s always with Cai but only goes near Clara when she really has too.

There is a really annoying story behind this picture. Firstly, Ayden was stressed so I clicked on his moodlet and he went to woohoo with a newly wakened Envy. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with that…until I heard the lullaby. After Pep fell pregnant with Bay I turned autonomous TFB off so really don’t know how this happened. I wasn’t anywhere near ready for more kids yet. The twins aren’t even toddlers yet!

Just like his parents before him Ayden gets married in the bathroom, minus the filthy toilet. I completely forgot that they weren’t married yet so this only happened when Ayden reminded me by rolling the wish to marry Envy.

No, no, no, no, no! I refuse to believe it’s that time already.

As soon as Ayden and Envy were married the camera panned away. For a minute I thought it was one of the founders dying but I think this was actually worse.

Pep: No, not my baby

Ayden: WTH is going on here?

Pep’s face just breaks my heart.

Death: Come here cutie, I’m going to take you to a better place.

Hey, it’s not that bad here! Give her back! I’m not ready for her to die!

Whole family *sobs uncontrollably*

Don’t go into the light Cat!

Death: You’re too late, it’s done

*Joins the family in their sobs*

If there is anything that can reach normally emotionless me, it’s the death of a pet (even a pixel one).

Ayden: Not Cat, why couldn’t you have taken dad, he’s useless

Death: Ha-ha, you’re emotions are hilarious to me.

This Death is a jerk. He seriously stood and laughed at Ayden’s anguish for ages.

Death didn’t leave after that either. He wondered around the house until Pep cornered him.

Pep: She’s in a good place, right?

Death: Buzz off lady, I’m busy!

Sure you are, taking beloved pets and messing up my house!

Death: I don’t need this crap *disappears in a cloud of black smoke*

Good, don’t come back!

I placed Cat’s urn on the computer desk where she will stay until I build a proper resting place for her (and anyone else who dies). Cat was 54 days old which is 8 days over my dog limit. Please haunt us soon Cat.

Pep you are breaking my heart here.

As soon as I placed the urn Pep ran over and hogged the computer. I like to think she just wanted to be close to her first friend in this town.

Back to less depressing things. Nothing can cheer me up quicker than a useful idiot.

Ayden’s still picking favourites I see.

Now that Envy is no longer pregnant she can get back to her favourite activity at least until she pops again.

She doesn’t finish a whole session with it though due to her grief.

*synchronised grieving* Person person plus

Pep: Bay, it’s nice for you to call your old mum.

Pep:…Cat’s dead

Pep: Okay, see you love

Why do you have to make me feel sad all over again?

I’d normally say I was sorry for you but this is all on you and Ayden so I’m really not.

Envy: Screw you

Of course you would pop seconds after throwing up.

Envy: Hey be happy, at least this way you’re getting the kids out of the way early.

…Actually that’s sort of reasonable. What have you done with my idiot?

Envy: I just play the part you give me

I’m with you there Ayden, it would be nice to have at least 1 boy this generation.

I missed the pop-up but Alyssa had her second baby, another little boy that she named Caiden.

WTH Pep!

Is this a glitch or is it just something that elder Sims do?

Ayden: Must avert eyes, must avert eyes.

She still didn’t even bother to get dressed for her granddaughters birthdays.

Cai goes up first naturally since she was born first.

*Sparkle twirl*

Clara goes up next.

Envy: *Closes eyes* I wish that she’s not a face clone.

I wish that too.

And I’ll leave you with this picture to end the chapter. I know I’m mean for not showing their toddler selves but I like to keep you in suspense ‘cause I’m evil like that.
